HF6610 spin-on fuel filter

HF6610 spin-on fuel filter

  • SGL-R18189-30 R18189-30 HF6610 Spin-On Fuel Dispenser Filter  Our SGL-R18189-30 fuel dispenser filter is a direct aftermarket replacement for original Gilbarco R18189-30 and cross-references Fleetguard HF6610 hydraulic/fuel spin-on filter, specially engineered for commercial gas station Gilbarco fuel dispensing pumps. Adopting high-density resin-impregnated cellulose filter media with standard 30-micron nominal filtration precision, it efficiently captures solid contaminants including rust, sand, dust and sediment in gasoline, diesel, ULSD ultra-low sulfur diesel, ethanol & methanol blended fuel (max 10% alcohol ratio). Built with heavy-duty pressure-resistant steel housing and premium EPDM leakproof sealing gasket, this spin-on filter features stable high flow rate and outstanding pressure resistance. Strictly manufactured per original OEM dimension standards for direct plug-and-play installation without modification, it perfectly fits Gilbarco fuel dispensers, Wayne, Tokheim and mainstream fuel pump equipment. It is the cost-effective maintenance spare part for gas stations, fuel depots, fleet fueling yards and global fuel equipment distributors. Usage & Installation Method: Preparations: Shut down the fuel dispenser power and close the inlet fuel valve to cut off fuel supply completely; prepare a filter wrench, absorbent rags and waste fuel container to hold residual spilled fuel. Remove Old Filter: Rotate the old filter counterclockwise to unscrew it from the filter head. Thoroughly wipe the mounting base to remove old gasket residue, dirt and residual fuel thoroughly. New Filter Pre-treatment: Smear a thin layer of clean fuel on the EPDM rubber sealing ring of R18189-30 filter. Do not use grease to prevent rubber swelling and sealing failure. Install the Filter: Tighten the new filter clockwise by hand until the gasket fits tightly against the base, then turn an extra 3/4 turn with a wrench. Never over-tighten, which will crack the thread or deform the gasket and cause leakage. Pressure Test: Open the fuel inlet valve and restart the dispenser, run idle for 2-3 minutes. Inspect the joint for fuel leakage; zero leakage confirms successful installation. Standard Replacement Cycle: Replace every 6 months or 3000 operating hours for conventional gas station use; shorten the cycle to 3–4 months for dusty environments or poor-quality incoming fuel.
